So simple and yet so complex, her words describe the artist herself.  Clara  H. Kusumoto is a photo based visual artist.

Her perspective in life is rooted in her upbringing as a first generation Italian-Japanese Canadian.  Clara speaks fluent Italian and has found a passion for learning American Sign Language.

Through her photography, Clara explores the connection between people and the space they occupy.

Light, shadow, line, shape and space can flash before your eyes without your giving them a second thought; Clara photographs these second thoughts.
